Commission proposal to impose tariffs on imports of battery electric vehicles from China obtains necessary support from EU Member States

The European Commission’s proposal to impose definitive countervailing duties on imports of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) from China has obtained the necessary support from EU Member States for the adoption of tariffs. Plenary Debate on the 8th of October: The crisis facing the EU’s automotive industry

The European Parliament will hold a plenary debate to discuss the current crisis of the automotive sector in the European Union.
